Artiste is a winery and tasting studio experience that transports you to an 1880s working art studio, modeled after Hotel Baudy, the tiny inn in Giverny, France, where the Impressionism movement kicked into high gear. As you sip and stroll around our comfortable Tasting Studios in Los Olivos we encourage you to share with us your own impressions of our wines, art and artisan foods.
Express yourselves through painting on our community canvases, or by sketching and writing in our art journals. Enjoy paintings from some of today’s best Contemporary Impressionist painters and taste some of the most avant-garde wines California has to offer. Artiste wines and merchandise and are exclusively available through Artiste Tasting Studio in Los Olivos, the Artiste Collective {Club Membership}, and Artiste.com.
Combining a reverence for tradition and a philosophy of winemaking as an artistic expression, Artiste wines are labeled with gorgeous works of impressionist art. Each of our wine blends are named after the title of the painting that graces its bottle.
We work with some of the finest Contemporary Impressionist artists across the country to commission and license a new painting for each new wine. Then, taking inspiration from the colors, imagery and story behind each wine label, Artiste's winemaker, Bion Rice, blends and weaves different wines together to create Artiste's Impressionist Cuvées™.
Four times a year, Artiste releases three new wines with impressionist painted labels from the brushes of our featured artist. With each new release we invite members and their guests to our art & wine release party at our tasting studio in Los Olivos. It is here that you get the first chance to savor our wonderful wine and to view our artist's beautiful artwork. It’s the perfect ambiance for everyone to chat informally with the winemaker and the artist, and to have them autograph bottles and limited edition giclees.
